Cinderella's siter: episode 3 (with icons and quick thoughts)  
In short - this was lovely!


I loved the first hug, and more so because it felt as if this was the first time to be hugged by a human being for both of them, most definitely for Eun Joo, I doubt her mother ever hugged her. But for Ki Hoon too, his defenses were absolutely blown away. And then she tried to take his socks off! I guess this was a more familiar thing to do - taking the socks off someone?

Gosh, this is only the third episode and we already had :

- stubble
- drinking breakdown with stubble
- hurt/comfort
- hugging
- food-making

The rant part: I knew I could not trust the actor who played the father, not after his role in "Soul". ** stabbity stab ** I want to kill the man with my bare hands: he made a bit deal about Eun Joo's mother slapping her? And then he goes ahead and beats her into a pulp (so that she can't stand) with a stick??? I hate you evil man and I guess you are going to die soon and make me happy. The only good this is that this should give more opportunities for hurt/comfort.

The caning part was just horrid. I really wanted to strangle the stepfather. The fact that Ki Hoon, once again, was the only one there to tend to her wounds? RAGE!!! I mean it's great for OTP purposes, but hell, those parents are really pushing it.

If the dramas taught me anything, it's that there is clearly no Child Support Services in Korea. Half the kids in those things should be taken away.

Trufax. I'm totally fine with the 8-year jump now. Eun Jo needs to get out of that environment.

I think the mother just doesn't care for anyone but herself, but she is not particular cruel. The father - it looked like "cry and ask forgiveness or I will continue beating you" scenario which usually is a good indication of a tyrant.

Tyrant's the word! That disbelieving look on his face when Eun Jo would not even bat an eyelash while being caned. Ugh, DIE evil stepdad!

These icons are so very gorgeous. I will be greedy and take 6, 8, 10. You do the most amazing things with your coloring.

The moment I learned about the beating, I saw red. I can't wait for him to kick the bucket now. Leaving aside my views on corporal punishment for a 17-yr-old (who the hell does that?), it's one thing to give a few blows but a major beating? That's abuse territory. And seeing that she was an abuse victim already? ARGH REEEEEEEEED.

EEEEEEE! I am so glad you like. The drama has gorgeous colouring, the blue t-shirt Ki Hoon was wearing onset everything beautifully.

I have updated the post with the beating image: look ! She can't stand!!!! He is a total psycho. And all because he wanted her to cry and she didn't

Okay, I loved that semi-hug and feel awful that EJ will have learned to nearly trust this person, only for him to disappear on her. As for that caning - WHAT? And, is it true he doesn't cane HS because she gets all pouty and cries? HUH? I thought it was supposed to be kind to EJ!

Upon the full watch, the father hits HS once, but I don't think he hits her as hard as he did EJ. But to be fair, I think her repents later. he is never going to do this again but I think the trust between them is lost forever (I might be wrong).
